From statement pages to usable data.
BankStatementConverter extracts transactions from a PDF, PNG or JPG and shows the result in an editable table. The downloaded file reflects your edits, so check the rows against the original before using them in accounting, reporting or an application.
Fields in each row
Fields that cannot be read safely are left empty where the format permits. The model can also return warnings and confidence values for review.
- Date
- The transaction date as shown or safely interpreted from the statement.
- Description
- The transaction wording, including wrapped lines joined into one row.
- Reference
- A reference printed with the transaction, when available.
- Debit / Credit
- Positive values in separate money-out and money-in columns.
- Amount
- A signed number: debits are negative and credits are positive.
- Balance
- The running balance after the transaction, when it is printed.

Excel .xlsx workbook
The Excel button generates a genuine .xlsx workbook in your browser. The Transactions sheet includes a frozen header, filters and numeric money columns; a Statement details sheet includes extracted bank, account, period and balance information. Dates stay as text to preserve what the statement showed.
UTF-8 CSV
CSV contains a header row and one record per transaction. Text values are quoted, and potentially executable spreadsheet formulas are escaped. Check your import tool's date and decimal settings.
JSON
JSON preserves the transaction array plus statement-level fields such as bank name, currency, period, opening and closing balances, and extraction warnings.
What to verify before relying on an export
- Compare the first and last transaction dates with the source period.
- Check the sign and column of large debits, credits and reversals.
- Compare opening, closing and running balances where the statement provides them.
- Keep the original document alongside the export for traceability.
